Terp SEE, Terp Do!

Trying to find something fun to do??  Hi, my name is Shannon, and I'm an orientation adviser for the upcoming summer.  I wanted to take the chance to tell you guys about what a great organization Student Entertainment Events, or SEE, is.  SEE is responsible for all the concerts, special events, comedy shows, and lectures that happen here at Maryland.  The group is made up of undergraduate students who work with advisers to create and promote the events.  Just this month, SEE brought Gabriel Inglesias to Maryland.  You can look for upcoming events by going to see.umd.edu.  You can also get on their listserv so that you can receive their weekly newsletter with updates about shows and events. 

In addition to all the special events SEE hosts for us, they also host movie nights at Hoff Theatre in the Stamp Student Union.  The movies air at 7 pm on the date listed and are free to all students!! So, you should definitely take advantage of them.  Sometimes there will be a Disney marathon, or even a special showing of a new movie.  Hoff just had Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1 this month.  Come on April 18th to see Shutter Island!!
